sorry to say that Organizing 101 will not be held in 2006. Please check
out YOTE, NYOTI,
and Summer School, SOUL's other organizing
training programs. Organizing 101 is a three-day introductory class on the art and science of organizing your community. Sessions include: Building Members, Building the Fight, and Building Our Organizations. All sessions are mandatory. [ See sample curriculum ] SOUL prioritizes the participation of women, people of color, queer and transgender people, working class people, and folks currently engaged in full-time organizing work. Childcare and translation are available on request. Training priced on a sliding scale from $100 - $800 based on organizational budget or individual income. Please contact SOUL for specifics. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Participants receive SOUL’s Organizing 101 Reader, breakfast and lunch for all 3 days, and one-on-one follow-up consultation to continue your development as a organizer.
